- Callie Aspen has come to her childhood hometown for the holidays and is helping her great aunt, a baker and owner of a tea shop, cater a book-themed party at one of her childhood haunts, for one of the town's oldest residents.
- Callie Aspen is a professional tour guide who is taking a holiday break returning home to fairy-tale like Heart's Harbor. While there she works with her Great Aunt Iphy, a baker who caters book-themed parties and owns a tea shop. Callie is delivering a cake for the town's oldest and wealthiest resident in preparation for a special event at Haywood hall where we are introduced to th wealthy widow Dorothea Finster, old friends Sheila and husband (Callies old crush) - Stephen, the old gardener, greedy civic officials an of course the cute law enforcement officer. Soon a missing family heirloom and a murder cause Callie and her adopted terrier to begin working to find clues.
- Perfectly predictable, completely cliched, a so-so story.
